Student Search Page Gets Speed Boost

For those schools currently using IEPWriter version 3.0, a recent upgrade to the Student Search Page greatly improves performance, speeding up a heavily-used page to help you navigate more efficiently.

Test Formats Wanted

Users commonly report problems when pasting tables – particularly Evaluation/Re-evaluation Report test scores – from other documents into IEPWriter's rich-text editor.

To help alleviate this problem, we'd like to incorporate some of the most commonly used test formats into IEPWriter's text bank. This would allow users to select the desired layout from the text bank, paste it into the rich-text editor (where it would already be properly formatted), and then simply enter the test scores.

You can help us get this initiative rolling by e-mailing one or more common test formats to Account Executive Lewie Astorino at [email protected].

Ungraded Categories Not Allowed

Many users have requested that ungraded categories be added to IEPWriter. Unfortunately, the use of ungraded categories isn't permitted under federal regulations and therefore also isn't allowed on the state level.

The PIMS manual specifically states that "special education students must be coded with an actual grade level. EUG (elementary ungraded) or SUG (secondary ungraded) is not allowed."

Leader Services provides special education data management solutions to schools throughout Pennsylvania and the United States. Visit our website to learn about how we make the special education process faster and easier for our clients.
